Cholesterol — The Reality
The mainstream Cholesterol story in medical belief is a mere hypothesis based on correlations, without any proper scientific evidence, now disproven. Don't blame the firemen for the fire.
The Brain and Cholesterol
The brain is the most cholesterol-rich organ in the body. It houses approximately 20% to 25% of the body's entire cholesterol supply. This cholesterol is essential for:
- Insulating nerve fibers (myelin sheath)
- Forming brain cell membranes
- Transmitting signals between neurons
The Blood-Brain Barrier prevents cholesterol from the blood from entering the brain and it synthesizes all of its own cholesterol.
